While the "Baby Jayhawk" is not formally included in KU's official "Evolution of the Jayhawk," this cartoonish baby "bird" has been used on officially licensed merchandise for years. The "Baby Jayhawk" has also been immortalized in cast bronze as part of the "Jayhawk Nest" monument located outside the Kansas Union on KU's campus in Lawrence.
